A look at our history
AFAS (Applications For Administrative Solutions) was founded in 1996 following a management buy-out from Getronics. At the time, the company had 48 employees; today, AFAS Software has more than 700 employees worldwide. And we are still a proud family-owned company.

Since our start in 1996, we have worked hard to continue realising our mission.
Work can be so much more enjoyable and better. And with greater consideration for society. In many organisations, people are busy with the wrong things. Unnecessary actions, duplicate work, fixing mistakes: it takes up a great deal of time and does not improve quality. The mission of AFAS Software is: inspires better business. AFAS achieves this with software and everything required to use that software in such a way that it helps you achieve a higher goal. A better world. That is what we want to contribute to through CSR. We do this with love, from the heart. And we do it systematically. Because we love making things measurable and improving by one percent every day. Preferably by automating, digitising and innovating.

AFAS has a unique culture, recognisable through our core values: Do, Family, Crazy and Trust. We also use these to make a difference with CSR. Because making a difference is essential to us. No hassle with paper tigers, bloodless compromises or lukewarm ambitions, but concrete results. Sustainable and measurable.

AFAS Foundation
The AFAS Foundation provides funding for projects around the world in healthcare, education and society. Through the AFAS Foundation, we help others make their dreams come true. We believe in projects with a strong impact that inspire others to join in. In 2026, €10 million will be allocated to charities and social initiatives. In addition, we support local causes and give decommissioned hardware a second life at various schools.

Sponsoring local projects
The AFAS Foundation is an independent foundation. This means it focuses on donations that serve a clear purpose beyond the interests of AFAS Software itself.
In addition, we have been supporting local projects for many years. These organisations can submit a sponsorship request to AFAS. A sponsorship request must always also serve a clear purpose for AFAS. This can involve a wide range of sponsorship initiatives.
